We will explore how ethics and boundaries are even more important in our age of social media, cloud based computing, texting, emailing, live streaming, transparency, and constant connection to technology. We will discuss ethics regarding electronic record keeping, BYOD, ways to improve HIPAA compliance and how these things are necessary for an ethical practice. We will discuss how clear ethics and boundaries allow for an improved counseling relationship that protects the client and the therapist.
